T. Soper, FNP-C
T. Soper is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. She has two doctorates a Doctorate of Nursing Practice specializing in Leadership a Doctorate of Education specializing in curriculum design and special instruction and is a Nationally Certified Nurse Educator. She comes to Monterey Bay Urgent Care with a diverse nursing background both in America and internationally. She has assisted in advancing nursing and promoting patient care outcomes. Her work in Saudi Arabia included opening the first college of nursing for women in Jeddah and achieving International Joint Commission Accreditation for the hospital. With the World Health Organization she traveled to Africa to assist in writing nursing curriculums that are student-centered while advancing and promoting safe patient outcomes. The developed curriculums, academic teachings and administration works have resulted in T. being a two-time DAISY faculty award recipient. The bulk of T.'s nursing career includes Critical Care, open-heart, and Emergency Department nursing which have lead to roles such as the Director of Education, Director of Neurology, Clinical Nurse Specialist and a computer consultant role. As a leader in the advancement of nursing education T.'s publications and research include pioneering an audio supplementation into the nursing courses, her research both nationally and internationally now includes public speaking and publications. The focus is always on improving and recognizing nursing excellence. Her published works include Socialization in the On-line Classroom, Which Learning Methodology Provides the Greatest Knowledge Acquisition in mentoring nurses when English is not the first language, and audio in the on-line classroom. In her free time she enjoys walking, running, playing ball and spending time with her Goldendoodles.
